Soul Leadership and the Desire to Route a Different Journey - Intentions, Passion, Memory and STEM Transformation – A HBCU Perspective
This paper examines how leadership at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) responds to legacies of oppression and enslavement. The paper explores and analyzes the intentions, passions, and memories leaders shared through a series of interviews. Through interviews conducted by The Center for the Advancement in STEM Leadership (CASL), it explores Soul Leadership and proposes a framework using Cultural Intentionality and Conscious Leadership to ignite transformation and broaden participation in STEM education across HBCUs in the United States.
